Frequently Asked Questions

Can I wear shoes with my orthotics?

Yes, you can. Since your orthotics are specially made for your feet, you can use them with your shoes and during activities.

Art of Mobility clinician will advised the right time frame for wearing your custom orthotics according to the overall diagnosis. You will also be advised about the best length and right times to wear your orthotics according to the results after a thorough evaluation.

How long should I wear my orthotics?

Since a custom orthotic works to realign the functions of your feet, you may feel sensation as you wear it with your shoes. Pressure can be felt under the arch of your foot. These are signs that your orthotics are working, and these sensations should fade away after some time.

What do orthotics feel like?

Custom orthotics from Art of Mobility are made only after a thorough assessment and analysis of a specific person according to the unique condition to ensure everything is done right. Generic orthotics, while some could be relatively cheaper, might only bring further damage since they are not specifically made according to your foot measurement and condition. One size does not fit all in this particular case.

What is the difference between custom orthotics and over-the-counter orthotics?

Dr. Colby Ng

Hi, my name is Colby Ng and I am a chiropractor and completed my Doctor of Chiropractic at the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College. I also completed my Bachelor of Kinesiology from the University of Toronto.

I have been in sports and athletics my whole life, which has pushed me to have big goals. I have my eyes set on many crazy things and know how important it is to have people who can help you do the things that matter most. While reaching my dreams means a lot to me, I have also been lucky enough to share the joy of other people’s accomplishments. Knowing that I played a small part in helping someone reach their fitness, health, or life goals has empowered me more than I ever thought it would.

I believe that my role as a chiropractor goes beyond providing pain relief. I like to use a combination of manual techniques like deep tissue release, mobilizations, adjustments, and acupuncture to relieve the discomfort. Pairing this with exercises and rehabilitation allows me to provide the long-term relief needed to get you on track towards your goals.

When I am not in the clinic, you will find me chasing my dreams in the weight room, on the road, on the trail, and the climbing wall. Right now, I have my eyes set on qualifying for Boston, doing my first Ironman, and planning my next multi-day trek.
